Welcome to the second part of our CXO Science Designing Tomorrow Together series, hosted by Scient. In today’s event, we are focusing on enterprise business transformation through next-generation networks, particularly 5G. My name is Des Blanchfield, and I am honored to be your host and moderator for today’s event.

Next-Generation Networks and Enterprise Business Transformation

Next-generation networks, especially those leveraging 5G, are opening up new possibilities for enterprises. These networks are converging private networks across enterprises, leading to the rise of innovative business models and new use cases for consumer and enterprise needs. The adoption of new operating models and use cases, enabled by next-generation networks and converged networks, is driving significant enterprise business transformation.

Key Capabilities of 5G for Enterprise Transformation

5G offers several key capabilities that make it attractive for enterprise transformation:

    • Increased Bandwidth Capacity: High definition video and remote visual monitoring are now possible with the increased bandwidth capacity of 5G.
    • Flexibility in Deployment: 5G provides the flexibility to deploy devices without the need for cables, particularly in remote environments.
    • Low Latency and Real-time Control: The lower levels of latency and real-time control capabilities of 5G enable faster decision-making and response times.
    • Edge Computing: The ability to deploy workloads at the edge allows for real-time analytics and decision-making.

    Expanding Opportunities for Enterprise Networks

In some cases, enterprises feel more comfortable leaving the communication network to a managed services provider. Scient is investing heavily in building a multi-tenant knock to bring the economy of scale to smaller size customers and operate the network. They also offer financial engineering options to cater to different customer needs, such as working in the classic CapEx, OpEx model or a multi-year OpEx plan.

    Conclusion

As we continue to explore the potential of 5G for enterprise business transformation, it’s clear that this technology is not just about faster speeds and feeds. It has the potential to reimagine how businesses operate and create new opportunities for innovation and growth. With the right technology and telecom partner, organizations can leverage 5G to drive significant enterprise business transformation and stay ahead in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Stay tuned for more insights and discussions on designing intelligent infrastructure and the impact of 5G on enterprise transformation in our upcoming panel conversation.

Don’t forget to join the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #designingaconnectedtomorrow and follow Scient for the latest updates.

Thank you for joining us, and we look forward to diving deeper into the topic of enterprise business transformation through next-generation networks.
